okay, so i had the older version of itunes… then my computer died (crashed). My sister got a new ipod and downloaded itunes on our new computer.

If i try to put songs on my ipod, will all my songs that are already on the ipod be deleted?

Sorry to say, but yes. When you sync new songs onto it, deleted songs from itunes will no longer be there.

    Just redownload them.

    Sad enough to say.

    Yes.

But you can always download them again.

    Which sucks man.

Nope, all of your current songs on your ipod will still be there, they will be in the itunes library when you plug your ipod in. The only way songs can be deleted off of your ipod isif you do it manually, or if you plug it into a different computer that you don’t normally use, and try adding songs on it. It will ask you if you want to sync to that computer or something like that and if you do, then all your current congs will be deleted.
But since you just got a new version of itunes, nothing will happen, don’t worry.

Yes , not because of itunes but because of the new computer.

yes, all you have to do is transfer the music you have on the ipod to your library. That way when all your music in your ipod is deleted , you’ll have a safe copy of your content on you computer.
You need a iPod to computer transfer to help you backup all the things on your ipod to your computer. And then you can add them onto your itunes.
